1 Heat oven to 375°F. In large bowl, mix all ingredients except preserves with spoon until crumbly. Press two thirds of crumbly mixture in ungreased 9-inch square pan. Spread with preserves. Sprinkle with remaining crumbly mixture; press gently into preserves.

2 Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool completely. For bars, cut into 8 rows by 6 rows.

Cardamom-Cashew Bars

Crust

1⁄2 package (8-oz size) 1⁄3-less-fat cream cheese (Neufchâtel)

1⁄2 cup powdered sugar

1⁄4 cup packed brown sugar

2 teaspoons vanilla

1 egg yolk

11⁄2 cups all-purpose flour

Filling

11⁄2 cups packed brown sugar

1⁄2 cup fat-free egg product or 2 eggs

3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons vanilla

1⁄2 teaspoon ground cardamom or cinnamon

1⁄4 teaspoon salt

11⁄2 cups cashew pieces and halves

Orange Drizzle

3⁄4 cup powdered sugar

1 tablespoon orange juice
